What is No Code?

Let’s put things simply. A no code tool allows you to build functional and beautiful mobile + desktop apps without having to write any code whatsoever.

No code tools usually come with a drag-and-drop builder so that you can just add reusable components to a canvas. Voilà, that’s how simple it is to build a fully functioning app with no code!

No code platforms have a data editor which you can feed data into your app to make it functional. This means that the only thing you have to do is grab your data, which can be a spreadsheet for example, and upload it to your no code tool. The platform will feed your data into a template and you can have your own ready-made app a few seconds later.
There are tons of no code tools out there. Glide, Bubble, and even WordPress are good examples. It’s all a matter of what is important to you – freedom of design, integrations, amount of data… If you want to read more about which no code platform you should choose, check out our detailed web section.

7 No-Code Glide App Examples of Apps Built by Low Code Agency

Now that we’ve gone over what a no code app can do, we’d love to share some of our favorite no code projects. We built the following apps using no code and low code platforms.

1. Weekend Mobile Notary

Weekend Mobile Notary

The Weekend Mobile Notary app is a mobile app that we recently built for one of our clients. It is a directory app designed to help mobile notary professionals connect with their clients efficiently. Think of it like an Uber app for notaries.

How does it work?

A user opens the app and searches for a notary using filters such as location or pricing. Once the user comes across a notary that fits their needs, they can reach out and set up an appointment. Depending on that notary’s preferences, the user can pay for the service directly from the app.

2. MyShoots

MyShoots

MyShoots, as the name suggests, is an app designed for shooting sports enthusiasts. The goal here was to create a platform where the shooting community could connect and socialize effortlessly.

With this app, shooting enthusiasts can organize shoot days and events without hassle. It also offers a robust channel that allows for easy and seamless communication among shooting members.

How does it work?

The first step is that the user creates a profile by filling out their details. Their profile will then undergo a verification process, which will allow one of the club managers to invite the user to join a club. Once the user joins the club, they can start chatting with other members and share photos and videos.

Whenever a shooting event is organized, club managers can send users the details of the venue and date of the shooting event easily through the app. When a user is invited through the app, they receive an email with the details and a link to the event, so that they can confirm their attendance.

If you don’t get invited to join a club, you can opt for the No Club option. You will still get to chat with other app users but in public mode.

For the pricing side, the MyShoots app has both free and paid versions. In the paid version, users can add “places of interest” to their bio. They also get a say in which charities their clubs make donations to.

3. Frntlne

frntlne

Frntlne is an educational app similar to Udemy in many ways, only that it is designed for big retail brands looking to educate their employees about their products and offerings. Bonuses in the form of cash incentives are given to employees when they complete courses, which serves as a motivation booster.

Each course is broken down into modules and submodules to make it easy for learners to follow through. After each lesson, the user has to complete a questionnaire in order to be able to move to the next lesson. Similarly, users have to pass a test to complete the course at the end.

4. Napps Hairdressing Marketplace – UK

Napps

Napps is a directory app that connects professional hairdressers in the UK with clients looking to get their afro or curly hair done. Napps’ genesis came from the desire to fill the market gap for afro hairstyles.

With this app, clients looking to get an afro hairdo can find talented hairdressers locally and make bookings in a few clicks of a button. To make bookings, all the user needs to do is find a stylist of their choice and then tap the bookings button. After that, they will need to make a 25% payment deposit (non-refundable) for their booking to be confirmed.

Failure to meet with your hairdresser 30 mins after your scheduled time would result in the cancellation of your booking unless it was agreed otherwise. The app also allows potential clients to speak with hairdressers via chat or video/audio-only calls. If both parties disagree on a price after chatting, the client can cancel the booking.

Napps also offer mobile hairdressing options. With this arrangement, the hairdresser travels to the client’s location after the booking is confirmed. Travel fees are charged at £2.00 per mile. If travelling isn’t a convenient option for the hairdresser, the client can go to the hairdresser’s salon instead.

5. First Look

First look no code example

You’ll probably remember that as a high-schooler, you fantasized about joining a team in college. We partnered with a sporting company to build the First Look app, and we’re making the dream a reality.

The First Look app allows young baseball players to track their sporting and playing metrics such as runs, isolated power, pitches, etc. Coaches and sports recruiters on the hunt for baseball talents can then use these records to assess the skill of a potential player.

The First Look is a two-sided app, meaning both players and coaches can use it. To use the app, players need to sign up for an account using their details. After creating an account, the next step is to log in and start tracking their training. Players get rewarded each time they log track records.

First Look comes with a dashboard from which players can track their skill report, view which other players are graduating the same year as them, and see the players in the same position as them. There’s also a community platform that allows players to chat and socialize with each other.

The version for coaches works similarly to the player’s version, only a coach’s profile first needs to be reviewed by an admin before they can use the app. Once their profile is approved, a coach can create a recruitment profile and start screening potential players by checking their metrics.

When coaches find players that match their selection criteria, they can add them to their watchlist. Adding a player to a watchlist allows the coach to track the player over time and determine if the player is a good fit.

6. Amazon Influencers Platform

Amazon Influencers no-code example

The current trend is having an influencer promote your products – it can help bring a ton of sales and revenue to businesses. That is why we built the Amazon Influencers Platform App. Its aim is to connect influencers with Amazon eCommerce entrepreneurs looking to promote their businesses.

How does it work?

First of all, users need to create an account and provide their signatures as a security measure to keep spammers away. After that, registered users are taken through an onboarding process. That is when they get to choose between an Amazon Seller or Influencer account. Users will then see different interfaces depending on the type of account they choose.

To connect with an influencer, all a user needs to do is post what is known as “jobs.” In the job posting, the seller details what they are willing to give in exchange for promotion from an influencer. They will also detail the criteria the ideal influencer needs to meet, as well as display product details and images.

When an influencer finds a job posting that appeals to them, they will reach out to the seller or add the job to the “request list” if they are not ready yet. The Amazon Influencers Platform comes with a handy FAQ section that users can come back to if they get stuck.

7. Waitext

Waitext no-code example

We’ve got to the last app on our list: the Restaurant SMS Marketing App. The Restaurant SMS marketing app is an innovative app that makes it easy for food lovers to connect with their favorite restaurants via SMS.

How does it work?

A unique QR code is assigned to every registered restaurant on the platform. When users scan the code, they will automatically be directed to the restaurant’s detail page.

On this page, they get to fill out a request form and input their phone numbers. When they do, an automated SMS containing a unique discount code will be sent to their phones. The restaurant owner can personalize the text message they send to customers.

The app can cater to an unlimited amount of restaurants — the admin can determine the number of restaurants to be added.

What Can I Do with a No-Code App? Are There Limits?

There are basically no limits to what you can do with a no code app. Whatever pain point you’re trying to solve for your business, there is a way with no code or low code.
